robelanator VIP Rank : 96	Posted : 12 months ago at Sep 13 16:15 - Nearly everything you do gives you points which, in turn, determines your rank compared to other users. Just posting a message on the groups gives you 10 points or so per post. Tagging and rating are worth a point or two per. Reviews are worth 50. Etc. There are probably only a couple thousand active members out of the 30,000+ registered users, so even a few posts on the groups would get you enough points to rank up rather quickly. Breaking the top 50 in rank requires a lot of rating, tagging, reviewing, and image uploading, though.

chibiyusa Rank : 49	Posted : 12 months ago at Sep 13 21:25 - Your rank isn't screwed up. When you first start you have no rank (0) since you haven't done anything worth ranking. When you started posting in the forums, adding stuff, and the like, you started getting ranked. Simple.

If you are rank 2,898 then there are 2,897 people on the website with more points then you. If someone gets more points than you your rank will go down. If you then post more your rank will go up.
